8. Why is people's movement restricted?

People's movement is restricted because we allow it. Of course there is still the concept of freedom floating around with that as well but man needs order in his life. Therefore certain restrictions and limitations are made. These laws are followed so that man can maintain a society where there is a system to follow. In a way, many people need to conform to the norms that society dictates as well in order to stay in tact.

This is also why we need sound leaders to guide us and implement the laws properly. In our society today, there is a need for more discipline. Compared to before, I think that we are given even more freedom. It is also the notion that we are breaking free from our conservative ideals. People's movement is also restricted due to the need for protection as well. We can see that in many countries, you are not allowed to do certain things that you would have been allowed to do in other countries. We sometimes have the expression to say "only here in the Philippines" because there are many things that we can get away with in our country that is really illegal to do.

Restrictions can be both beneficial and detrimental to a nation. People can follow but if the restrictions given are too much, chaos will still happen. There needs to be a balance because there is a fine line between protection and abuse.
