10. How does the nation-state work?

Nation-State is usually referred to as a Modern Political disclosure, which still confuses political subjects or those who are inclined with politics. Like how certain scholars focus on the violence that takes place during expansions of certain lands and territories. I learned how there are misconceptions in the sense that a large territory does not necessarily mean a strong state/nation. This is just one out of other things where many of these political subjects are left in shadows. With regard to the State Sovereignty Story most of the time of not often, an academic approach is used, given the benefits that an academic approach may have there is also a down side to it. It fails to see and include the experiences of citizen-subjects and those who are not politically active and are not qualified to participate.

I also learned and understood how important Literature is regarding the formation of a Nation State oriented story because it is in written Literature where the experiences of Citizen Subjects are articulately elaborated. Stories from citizens themselves regarding the problems, or conflicts they encounter. An example of a written Literature would be of Milan Kundera’s novel entitled, “Ignorance”. Through the elaboration of emotions, feelings, through words, the political Subjectivity of the citizen Subject is developed, therefore more output may be obtained from the vocal or expressed citizen is showed. Considering not just the data but the value of experiences, opinions, and stories from literature from the author/personae.

It is through the peoples and citizen’s vocal claims either through speech or written can a nation state truly develop and grow.
